How to Make Recurring Meetings Earn Their Place
A recurring meeting can become invisible overhead. It stays because it already exists.
Restate the purpose
Ask what the meeting is for now: decisions, coordination, review, risk, or relationship. If no one can answer, the meeting needs redesign.
Track decisions over discussion
A meeting that never changes a decision may not need to be a meeting. Capture what moved because people were together.
Set a review point
Recurring does not have to mean permanent. Review cadence, attendees, and format regularly.
